Please arrive at the course by 4:40 to attend the 4:50 rules meeting and 5 o’clock shotgun start.

The Lawton Country Club has a dress code policy. They ask that you wear a collared shirt for the boys and a nice blouse for the girls with shorts, pants or a skirt. No cut off shirts, tank tops, jeans, or metal spikes on golf shoes.

How long does it take each week?
Our goal is to be done by 7, but with more players comes more time. I think 7:30 is the latest we would get done on most league nights.
How are overall winners chosen?
Each week the top 10 in each age category will receive points and the points will accumulate each week. The top point earner will receive the first place plaque.
Does it count if we swing and miss?
Every swing counts once the player addresses the ball. This league is meant to teach them how to properly play the game of golf.
Can a parent Caddie for more than one kid?
The league commissioner will do the best they can and put siblings together if they are the same age, but if they are different ages, they will each need a caddie.
Is LJGL for beginners?
YES!! Golf is best learned while you play and this is a great environment to learn in.
What is the banquet for?
Every child will receive a gift for participating in the league, Top 3 finishers in each age category will receive their awards, there will be a guest speaker, and best of all is the food!!
What age does my child not need a caddie?
Any child, 10 or older, may play without a caddie if they have completed at least one session with LJGL, have demonstrated that they do not need the help of a caddie, and their guardian feels they are capable. If it becomes apparent that a child needs a caddie, the league commissioner will make it mandatory for them to have one.
